After familiarizing with all the functions of the Ecovacs WINBOT 950 this video was taken. It demonstrates how poorly conceived the control system is designed. For cleaning a winter garden (sunroom) it is necessary to flush and clean the glass first, otherwise the WINBOT will fail after a very short time. The worst is a horizontal pane where the automatic control is unable to cope. Here one has to use the remote control. Also it is not feasible to apply the WINBOT on a frameless horizontal (or with a slight inclination) window pane. Sometime it works but sometime the WINBOT stops and gives alarm. Then you can climb up the ladder (like a monkey). Better you remain on the ladder or scaffolding and guard the WINBOT (unless you need the exercise). In any case, the remote control needs to be applied.. At one occasion the WINBOT stopped at a corner far away and nothing worked anymore. The only chance was pulling it back using the power cord.
A much better result is when using it overhead. But even then there were quite some faults to observe.
The best is to use the WINBOT on a normal (vertical) window. There are some odd movements but at least one does not have to waste time by trying to convince a stubborn donkey to continue working.
My advice: better take a long broom and a garden hose for a glass roof.
