Leaders in Bunyangabu district have registered increasing deaths in communities due to the malaria disease. People in communities have concentrated on self-medication for all sicknesses expecting it to be COVID-19 which has led to deaths from other diseases. According to Dr. Richard Obeti the Bunyangabu district health officer, they have recorded over 280 COVID-19 cases of which 162 have so far recovered and 117 are on the home-based care system.
