Shadow Treasurer Angus Taylor says the government has “no plan whatsoever” to get the economy back to where it was under the Morrison government.
“We have seen a collapse in living standards, and there’s no sign of a reverse in that collapse in living standards," he said.
“Nothing is going to give Australians that $8,000 back, or substantially more for mortgage holders, that we’ve lost.
“There is no plan to get back to where we were when we were in government – absolutely none whatsoever.”
Mr Taylor's comments come as the Reserve Bank reported a drop In inflation to 4.1 per cent in the December quarter, which has sparked hope for many homeowners.
