A nationwide rash of bomb scares expanded Friday into Central Florida and Ohio.
Investigators said a threat and possible hostage situation prompted the closure of a Winn-Dixie in DeLand.
An employee at a nearby store said there were about 40 people inside.
Authorities said all of the people have been allowed to leave the store, and no injuries were reported.
