Giving up is another one of those difficult emotions to portray because it doesn’t show on the face. It’s almost entirely how we feel.

Wenever I’m drawing such emotions, I rely heavily on how I draw and not so much on what I draw.

So I go for jagged lines, really rough look and a sense of discomfort that lets me explore the emotion in a way that just relying on expressions never could.
