The Egyptian Goose (Alopochen aegyptiaca) is a common bird that can be found in a variety of habitats, but prefers wetalnd areas and areas with water, often adjacent to grassland or open patches of bush.

The Egyptian Goose can weigh up to 3.5 kilograms and are one of the most vocal birds in Southern Africa and the Kruger National Park. They can sometimes be heard calling all throughout the night.

The following video was shot at the dam at Berg-en-dal Rest Camp, and the bird call of the Egyptian Goose has been added into the video.
