This song is about the moment I realized that the person I was in a relationship with had fallen out of love with me, causing me to finally acknowledge the ugly truth of having never really been in love with them either. Despite the hypocritical nature of feeling salty about their change of heart, I was. Because of how petty and illogical that seemed, I thought it would be a fun song to write.
