Visiting the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels was a profound poetic experience. I watched the construction as I commuted by Metro to my office. It would be a few years before I had the opportunity to visit. One day, I arrived early in Los Angeles while waiting for a client, the Cathedral was literally down the street. As I walked the grounds I physically felt a sense of peace. There were a few people inside, it was early and quiet. I decided to take some photographs with my Samsung phone. I wanted to respect the Cathedral, and tried to capture the overwhelming interior beauty. Architecture is an inspiration for me as an artist. As I looked at every decision made in the selection of the architectural materials: stone, metal, glass, lighting and wood - I cried. It was the most poetic beauty I had ever experienced.
I researched the project and found that it was designed by Spanish Architect, Mr. Jose Rafael Moneo Valles. Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels is an architectural masterpiece.

This day is always in my mind whenever I think about architecture.
Creating this photographic film is to share the solitude of that special day.
