With Ludwig acrolite prices on the rise with no signs of stopping, more drummers are gravitating towards the cheaper model - the Ludwig standard aluminum s-102 snare. Both are raw aluminum shells, with 8 lugs and triple-flanged hoops, but do they sound the same?
