To continue the quest of sharing our rich heritage through meaningful seasonal celebrations with the public at large.
JashneSadeh ( unlike Yalda and Nowruz) seems to be different in that, similar to Tirgan; it is not a widely celebrated occasion among most Iranians and Persian-speaking people all across the globe. This acknowledgment inspired us to tell its story and encourage more people to observe it around the community by showing the various modalities of the celebration.
Since we were in the middle of a pandemic, we came up with protocols to make this short documentary happen with our existing members, also partnering with artists and musicians.
After some research on how this festival was honored, we decided to utilize many ancient rituals like having a Daf procession into the town square, lighting the community bonfire, reciting the Shahnameh, being in the community around the fire, playing authentic musical instruments, feasting, and dancing.
With hopes that more people all around the globe celebrate this impactful occasion!
