Suggestions for puerh tea storage
1. The air humidity is no more than at 75%.The water content of standard tea cake is at 10% before it leaves factory, If a tea cake is 357g, that means the water content of the tea cake is 10%, If the water content exceeds 14%, tea cake will grow mold, If water content of tea cake is lower than 7%, the growth of microorganism will stop.
2. It is very important by sealing your tea cake and keeping the air from them for your personal small quantities tea storage. If puerh tea through too much aeration, tea will be oxidized, and the taste is full of oxidized flavour with aging, If you purchased your tea with Tong or box, keep them with bamboo shoot shell with original package.
3. What is the best forms of tea for storage?
Tea brick ＞ Tie Bing ＞ Pao Bing ＞ Loose leaf. The tighter tea leaves are pressed, The better tea leaves are transformed more efficient.
4. If you live in a place with high humidity, I suggest you put a hygrothermograph in your room, and don't let air humidity exceeds 75%.
