This session will engage experts and the audience in examining the region’s vulnerabilities to the impact of climate change, including temperature, precipitation, water availability, sand and dust storms, and associated implications for agriculture and food systems. This session will set the scene for subsequent sessions that will delve deep into regional strategies to overcome the impacts of climate change aiming at enhancing adaptative capacity across all adaptation approaches, incremental and transformational adaptation, and long-term resilience in the MENA region.
