Kosovo's most multi-ethnic city was calm on Tuesday, after weekend violence which left one person dead and several others injured.
An all-night curfew has been imposed by peacekeepers in Mitrovica, following fighting between Serbs and ethnic Albanians on Sunday.
One ethnic Albanian is being treated in the Kosovan capital, Pristina, for shrapnel wounds.
Mitrovica appeared calm on Tuesday.
A dusk-to-dawn curfew was imposed following Sunday's violence, in which Albanian snipers fired on peacekeepers sent to Kosovo eight months ago to protect them.
The violence left one person dead, while nineteen were reported injured.
The latest curfew was several hours longer than previous ones.
Peacekeepers began a security sweep on Sunday in which forty people - 39 ethnic Albanians and one Serb - were detained, according to NATO officials in the capital, Pristina.
KFOR troops were readying themselves for a demonstration rumoured to be taking place later on Tuesday.

"Well, bear in mind we're also under the control of the French battalion here. We're aware of the situation that there is a demonstration, we're still trying to pin down exactly where in the city it's planned to be, but obviously this is quite an important focal point. We're here to provide security for the city, and we will do that as we see fit."

Mitrovica has been stricken with violence since a grenade attack on a U-N bus on February 2 resulted in the death of two elderly Serbs.
Since then, Serbs have been forcing ethnic Albanians to leave their homes in the northern part of the city.
Bahri Osmani is one of seven ethnic Albanians who were wounded on Sunday by a grenade thrown at a private house.
He was sent to a hospital in Pristina overnight and is being treated for shrapnel wounds in his chest.

Doctors were preparing to remove the shrapnel.
