Rc4wd Cross Country Black Rock

Been a little while since getting out so I decided to go to a local camp ground/ trail system. Meant mostly for walkers and trail bikes; but fun regardless. A little overdrive would help this rig a lot as I have it setup with a high cog (scale rack, battery, canoe etc); but rc4wd’s overdrive is too harsh (lowest gears at 27%).

Rx/tx failure…

Changed stock motor for a reedy Radon 20t 5 slot and a 9t pinion, low gear is super low (and loud). Have it sitting low and scale/ stock looking wrangler on +35”s.

Rc4wd Black Rock Cross Country apparently has been pulled off the shelves due to infringement issues.. un-licensed body.

More cheap plastics (body, link mounts etc) vs a more scale rig (chassis, axles, shocks, interior, wheels)

Wish the body sat a little lower on the chassis and came with 60mm shocks all around. Magnets for the hood came loose., there’s loose links underneath. Would love to find a way for better compression on the front (link mount, panhard mounts hitting... etc). First/ low gear is also quite loud on the rc.
