Grass should be used where possible to improve feed efficiency. Poyntzpass BDG member and Technology Demonstration Farmer (TDF) John Rafferty’s Dairy cows are housed all year round and fed TMR using a Lely Vector robot. They are milked through two Lely A3 robots. The cows are zero grazed during the grazing season. John is currently cutting fields that were closed last autumn.
