(17 Apr 2017) The US strike on Syria could have been delivered deliberately to complicate the crisis settlement process in Syria, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Monday.
"We have discussed the United States' unlawful aggressive actions whereby strikes were delivered on the airbase in Syria, which only deteriorated the situation and complicated, maybe deliberately, the search for a political settlement", Lavrov said.
"As we reaffirmed today, there can be no alternative to a political settlement", he added.
