How to make a groove in fire fighting pipe using hydraulic grooving machine?
solvet Electric GI MS Pipe Grooving machine 2" to 8" (50mm to 200mm)
hello guys welcome to my channel @Mad About Construction my name is Dipak Varsani and I'm glad you're watching this video my some friends asked me to put a video of my ongoing work at my project so this video is about making a groove in plumbing sprinkler pipes or fire fighting pipes so this is the groove machine hydraulic groove
machine and this pipe is of 4 inch and we have placed this pipe in machine there is one gear rod which is rotating this pipe and this pipe is supported on stand this is the stand we are talking about so this is a rotating road it is a protein-based pipe which is electric motor and then up you can see one bearing pressing this pipe so this bearing is coming down and pressing this pipe with the hydraulic pump so that black color is a hydraulic pump and he is applying hydraulic pressure the thickness of this groove is depends on the coupling this fire or fire pipe or a sprinkler pipe we will connect with the coupling before in this system people were using welding but then they replaced that system with this coupling system coupling or thread so this support is having bearings which allow these pipes to spin freely the surface of this pipe is black varnished coated it can also be quoted dip galvanized so once we fix this pipe and we finish the testing and everything and we will paint it with the red otherwise when we work it can remove the paint so this is hydraulic pump so one side thread is completed now we have turned the pipe the size of these pipes are different for system and its requirement but for this piping requirement you can see this group these all different size of pipes and they are available in half inch quarter sorry half inch 3/4 one inch one inch and a quarter one and half inch 2 inch 2 and a half inch, three four inch, five, six inch eight inch, 10 inch 12 inch 14 inch it depends on the design of the system's whole buildings regular system and thickness of the wall for this pipe use for half inch it is 2.77 and this pipe is four inch so this in our this case wall thickness is 6mm the end of pipe can be plain end or threaded both ends it depends which a system we are going to use coupling or bolt thread so he's checking the guru depth with hand and now releasing the pressure to remove the pipe so these are the pipes we are going to use in our project this is 4 inch diameter this is 5 inch diameter this is 6-inch diameter so all different diameters having different wall thickness and these pipes are black varnished coated so these pipes we are going to use for 21 bar pressure in firefighting system you can see the different different sizes these all pipes are ungrooved thank you so much for watching this video I will see you in the next video till then you take care good bye.
