In this video I'll be showing you how to start the Test Operation procedure on Daikin VRVS / VRV Life systems. As discussed many times on this channel, VRF equipment requires a self diagnostic test to be performed prior to operation. It's not a mini-split, you cannot just turn on the thermostat and operate the equipment in heat or cool. A Test must be conducted first.

We'll also discuss some very important precautions to consider before you start the test. These things get missed all the time resulting in much more time on site to get the system operational.

It is also important to understand what the test does, what it checks for, and more specifically what it does not check for. There will be things you need to do when the test completes, which we will also cover in this video.
