This was my very first experience of solo night camp. I was able to take out some time and go to Dwara Village near Maldevta which is in Uttarakhand. I wanted to understand the basic requirements of night camp before I try one with the family. The place was serene and is great for a weekend trip, picnic or camping.
But we need to take permission from the locals before we set up a tent. Also, please do not play loud music and do not cook non-vegetarian food if you plan to camp in this area as there is a famous temple (Ma Khandeshwari Temple) nearby.
There are some hotels available as well in case you want to spend some quality time in nature without worrying about some wild animals.
