Videos näete lõike kogu Uma Pido laulupeost Põlvamaal. Uma Pido esinemised on võro keeles ning esitatakse selle piirkona rahvatantse. Tegemist on väga ilusa rahvaüritusega, kust ühtmoodi tähtsad on laul, tants, näitemäng ja peomeeleolu. Uma Pido talletab Lõuna-Eesti keele ja kultuuri eripärasid ja on seetõttu väga tähtsal kohal.
ENGLISH: The video showcases Uma Pido - a Võro-language song and folk festival held in Southern Estonia. Uma Pido has been held five times: for the first time in May 2008 in Kubija near Võru, Estonia. In 2024 it took place in Intsikurmu, Põlva, Estonia. You will see the fragments from the entire festival. This festival holds a very special place as it helps to preserve the Võro language, singing, dancing and culture. Võro language is a southern dialect of the Estonian language, even more closely related to Finnish than the mainstream Estonian.
