(12 Oct 2017) The White House Chief of Staff called Pakistani intelligence services "great partners" during a White House briefing on Thursday.
John Kelly told reporters that Caitlan Coleman, her husband Joshua Boyle and their three young children have been essentially "living in a hole" for five years and credited Pakistan with playing a key role in their rescue.
He also says the family is "being cared for now as we speak."
American Coleman and her Canadian husband were abducted five years ago while travelling in Afghanistan and held by the militant Haqqani network. The couple had three children while in captivity.
