Ducati brought a vibrant display of their latest motorcycles to the EICMA 2024 motorcycle show, giving fans a first look at some impressive updates. At the forefront were the new versions of the Panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2, now featuring an upgraded 890 cubic centimeter L-twin engine. This engine generates 120 horsepower at 10,750 revolutions per minute, with a torque output of 93.3 newton-meters at 8,250 revolutions per minute. While the horsepower sees a slight reduction from the previous 955 cubic centimeter engine, Ducati countered this with a focus on weight reduction, boosting overall agility and performance.
The Panigale V2 now tips the scales at a lighter 179 kilograms, while the Streetfighter V2 is close behind at 178 kilograms. This weight reduction results in a sharper, more agile riding experience, enhancing the bikes' power-to-weight ratio and performance on the road. Design tweaks, including a split daytime running light, sharper lines, and a dual under-seat exhaust, make these models not only more visually distinct but also aligned with Ducati’s racing-inspired aesthetics.
Ducati also brought high-end electronics to both models, including adjustable riding modes, cornering anti-lock braking system, traction and wheelie control, as well as engine braking management and a bi-directional quickshifter. Optional add-ons include heated grips, turn-by-turn navigation, cruise control, and a tire pressure monitoring system, all designed to add comfort and convenience to the ride.
Suspension varies between the standard and ‘S’ models, with the standard versions equipped with Marzocchi front forks and a KYB monoshock, while the ‘S’ versions get a premium upgrade to Öhlins components. Each bike rides on 17-inch Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tires, adding to Ducati’s reputation for handling and grip.
With these refinements, Ducati shows its commitment to blending advanced technology and design at EICMA, ensuring riders experience unmatched performance and style.
