In this video, we make a journey from Copenhagen Central station in the Danish capital to Triangeln in the Swedish city of Malmö, crossing the iconic Øresund Bridge.
The Øresund Bridge is a road and rail bridge opened in 2000 and is five miles in length, connecting the Danish capital Copenhagen to the Swedish city of Malmö. The total crossing is around 9.5/10 miles in total which consists of the bridge, the 2.5 mile Drogden Tunnel and the man made island of Peberholm (which was built entirely from the soil and earth dug up during construction of the tunnel). The bridge is truly an amazing piece of engineering and architecture and I recommend it to anybody who hasn't yet been.
Although the views across the Øresund strait towards both Denmark and Sweden are spectacular, they are spoiled by the struts and support beams as the lower deck of the bridge is dedicated to rail connections.
