Ah, the 1920's -- the era when women burned their corsets, rouged their knees, and hung out all day at jazz clubs, right?
Not so much. Most women did actually wear corsets in the 1920s. And in particular, "stout" or plus size women (or frankly, and woman with any curves) pretty much had to. So today, we are going to take a close-up look at a stout woman's Bon Ton corset from approximately 1922, made by the Royal Worcester Corset Company.
