Before you begin:
Make sure your GA4 account is correctly set up on all website pages.
Create a Google Tag Manager Account: [ Ссылка ]
Install your Google Tag Manager Container on all website pages.
Steps to Track a Button Click in GA4:
1. Enable all Click Variables and Publish your Tag Manager
2. Set up a Tag, select Google Analytics: GA4 Event
3. Make sure you provide your GA4 Measurement ID (which can be found in GA4, under Data Streams)
4. Give your event a name
5. Create a new Trigger
6. Select the All Elements option under Clicks
7. Select all clicks and save the tag (temporary setup)
Preview your Tag Manager and open the debugger mode for the page you want to work on
8. Click on the link you want to track on the debugger view
9. Navigate to Tag Assistant and select the click instance relevant to your event click
10. Navigate to variables and note down the variables relevant to your click
Finally, navigate back to your Tag Manager, open the trigger you create before and
11. Select Some Clicks
12. Define which clicks you want to track using the click variables you noted (step 10)
Publish your Tag Manager
You can check if the implementation is correct either by using the debugger on GA4 or you can preview the Tag Manager once again and checking if your Event is firing.
