While there's lots of investment and development in Christchurch, the shaded red areas show undeveloped land. We're joining with private owners, the Council and our partners to speed up development and build investor confidence in this part of the central city.

Regenerate Christchurch was established in 2016 to lead the regeneration of Christchurch. Its purpose is to support a vibrant thriving Christchurch that has economic, social and lifestyle opportunities. Regenerate Christchurch will work with the community, iwi and local businesses to drive regeneration in key areas, including the central city, residential red zones and New Brighton.
