I'm making this video to collect information from you, the viewers, about your experiences collecting Formula One Miniatures in 1/18 and 1/ 43 scale.
I have recently started collecting Formula One Miniatures. Two were 1/18 scale Spark Red Bulls, and both had significant damage to wheels that broke off and damaged wings and trials. Two more were 1/43 scale Sparks that were also delivered damaged, one almost total. In my case I have purchased 12 F1 models, and 4 were damaged... You do the math.
I have also collected more than 300 sports cars with only two delivered with damage.
I have concluded that F1 model cars have heavy wheels attached to fragile axels and suspension. Shipping can result in wheel damage of which causes even more damage to other fragile parts. I have 2 1/18 and 2 1/43 scale models with similar damage.
