🥛 Von Müesli und Cornflakes über Desserts, Chips, Schokoriegel oder Brot: High Protein ist überall - und steht für einen besonders hohen Eiweissanteil. Sogar Produkte wie Käse, die natürlicherweise viel Eiweiss enthalten, werden plötzlich als extra Proteinquelle beworben. Ist das besonders gesund?
🍳 Fest steht: Proteine sind wichtige Baustoffe in unserem Körper. Egal ob Muskeln oder Haare: wir brauchen sie. Proteine sind auch für die Verdauung wichtig und der Zell-Baustoff überhaupt.
🎯 Das Bundesamt für Lebensmittelsicherheit und Veterinärwesen BLV Lebensmittel und Ernährung empfiehlt: Für gesunde Erwachsene unter 65 Jahren, täglich 0.8 g Proteine pro Kilogramm Körpergewicht aufzunehmen, unabhängig von Alter und Geschlecht. Bei einem Körpergewicht von 65 kg entspricht dies beispielsweise 52 g. Für Sportlerinnen, Vegetarier, Schwangere und Stillende, Seniorinnen und Kinder gilt ein anderer Wert. Sprich: Der Proteinbedarf einer Person ist extrem individuell und von sehr, sehr vielen Dingen abhängig. Auch die Studienlage ist deshalb schwierig: Für solche Angaben werden Werte genormt. Das widerspricht also der Individualität jedes einzelnen von uns.
🍩 Ausserdem sind High-Protein-Produkte ultraverarbeitet, oft werden Zuckeraustauschstoffe und Konservierungsmittel verwendet, die alles andere als #healthy sind.
🥵 Wer schlank sein will, soll Eiweiss essen – heisst es immer wieder. Tatsächlich hat Eiweiss den besten Sättigungseffekt von allen Hauptnährstoffen und unterstützt den Aufbau der Muskulatur. Trotzdem muss die Energiebilanz stimmen. Energie, die der Körper nicht verbraucht, lagert er als Fett ein. Wer also nur viel Eiweiss isst, aber keinen Sport treibt, nimmt mit Eiweissprodukten zu. Sorry, so einfach ist es also doch nicht.
