The house had a beautiful shaded terrace, thanks to a large tree from a neighboring empty plot. Nawal loved the cool breeze and spent her afternoons there. However, everything changed when someone burned trash in the plot, causing the tree to catch fire. Nawal, alone at home, was startled awake by a vivid nightmare of children and figures jumping from the burning tree into her courtyard. She awoke to find her kitchen window shattered and smoke seeping in. Though the fire was extinguished quickly, the incident marked the beginning of eerie events.
