The minister of education and sports Janet Kataaha Museveni has said government will not be able to hire new teachers as earlier planned due to a shortage of funds for the ministry. The minster, who was appearing before the parliament’s education committee today, said recruitment of teachers was just one of many other critical activities that would go unfunded because of budgetary shortfalls.
