Mercycrush: the disposition to be compassionate; a cause for gratitude or blessing; a force that destroys; a short lived infatuation
Atlanta, Georgia's own, Mercycrush, formed in 2000 and released their debut four song EP "Last Glass Ceiling" January of 2001. This Cd's heavy, melodic, and crunchy guitar riffs, full-toned bass, and impassioned drumming create a powerful atmosphere allowing the effects laden vocals to engage and pacify the listener. The song "Lost" from the EP (also released as a Cd single) has a video for it (shot at their EP release party performance at the Eyedrum art center in Atlanta) which will soon be available for download at www.mercycrush.com. The ascending energy of the many powerful live shows perfomed in the wake of their debut is evident in the 8 new songs they have recorded at Georgia's Led Belly Studios that are due for Cd release in June 2001.
