About this beat... the song I sampled [[ Ссылка ]] is one of them awesome gems you find of that vintage that have a lot of the rhythm section (drums, bass etc) panned hard one side and the vocals / other instruments panned hard the other side. So. My main sample I use is just the RIGHT channel, EQ'd to boost the lows n pull back the highs...so I can then layer the LEFT channel on top of it (using Isolator to pull out the lows so it fits in the mix with the other sample better).
I don't always include the chopping part in my videos but I've been asked about it n there's something I want to mention on the subject. Often you get a "click" at the start or end of the sample when chopping (this happens in most DAWs too unless they've tailored their algorithm to remedy it, this happens when you cut a digital sound wave when it's amplitude is greater or lower than 0). With that in mind, of course you can use an Envelope to fade in the sample (ENV START = 1) but first trying zooming in a moving the mark to the nearest part of the sound wave is dead on the center line. If there's interest in this let me know n I'll do up a tutorial on it.
As always, if you got any Q's get at me in the comments. Cheers fam!
