A cat with zero tolerance for spicy food has become an Instagram sensation.

Five-year-old Hiero - also known by his online alias PukefaceHiero - gags every time his owner, Ryan Birgelaitis, 37, eats takeaway food.

According to Ryan, Hiero is happy to "chow down" on things like smoked salmon but whenever he sees or smells spicy or heavily scented food, he pulls an amusing face as if he's about to be sick.

Ryan discovered that Hiero reacts like this to certain food types when he was just a kitten.
