Tirupati, Oct 22 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the new terminal of the Airports Authority of India at Tirupati on Thursday. The airport would further boost connectivity to the famous temple town in Andhra Pradesh. Around Rs. 190 crore has been spent by the Airports Authority of India to build the new Garuda-shaped terminal which can handle code 'D' and code 'C' types of aircraft with link taxi, apron and associated infrastructure. The Prime Minister, who was accompanied by Airports Authority of India chairman R.K. Shrivastava, maintained the tourism sector has a great potential in boosting the economy of any state or the nation.
