4 cups Rice - heaped
2 large onions
2 medium size tomatoes - grated
2 tablespoons grated fresh garlic
2 tablespoons grated fresh ginger
Optional: 1 tablespoon grated fresh turmeric (or 1 teaspoon turmeric powder)
1 medium size grated green pepper
1 tablespoon tomato paste
About 3 tablespoons coriander/ dhania
2 teaspoons pilau masala spice
2 teaspoons salt or as preferred
