Google & Jio, coming together to launch a new Android-based OS to build affordable smartphones.
Reliance Industries Chairman, Mukesh Ambani claimed the Jio plans to make India ‘2G mukt’ by using this new operating system.
Jio Platforms & Google have entered into the commercial agreement to jointly develop an entry level affordable smartphone with optimizations to the Android operating system and the Play Store.
The new initiative aims at making majority people in India owners of smartphones.
