This kit is an original Ford OEM part so they are incredibly easy to install, especially if your muscle car comes with the standard ambient lighting package. It includes a stainless steel accent with LED lighting that illuminates the MUSTANG logo when you open the doors - a tasteful touch for any 2005-2012 Mustang.
4 Color LED Choices. If your pony is equipped with the My Color Ambient Lighting Package, you can choose between Red, Green, Blue, or White from the built-in LED lighting package. If if your muscle car doesn’t have the factory ambient lighting, you can choose one among those 4 colors depending on how you wire the kit to your ride.
Plug and Play Installation. The Illuminated Door Sill Plates is a plug-and-play kit for 2005-2012 Mustangs with the ambient lighting package. Simply remove the old door sill plates and plug these in. However, this mod is also compatible with Mustangs without the ambient lighting package. In this case, some additional wiring will be required, but nothing too complex that the average do-it-yourselfer cannot handle.
