PowerNation meet “Raytona”! This week Courtney welcomes our long time friend, builder and painter Randy Borcherding of Painthouse to PowerNation with his latest creation - a 1963 Corvette named “Raytona”. Owners Steve and Cathy Percival wanted a classic American Vette but with European sports car influences on the Italian side and Randy delivered. In a 3 1/2 year project the team from Painthouse started with a new chassis with modern C4 suspension and dropped in a Chevy 355 with period correct eight 45 DCOE Weber carbs with an Inglese cross ram intake. The side pipes are a great touch to see and hear! And of course it has a signature Painthouse color; a custom PPG mix named “Raytona Blue Pearl”. The interior definitely screams Italy as designed by Eric Brockmyer and installed by Paul Atkins with Italian leather seats, gauges and other details to resemble a Ferrari Daytona. It’s one gorgeous car you can’t miss this week on PowerNation. For more check out www.PainthouseTX.com
