Fundy Park is located in eastern Canada. There are a few ways to experience the coastal trail which is 10 km one way. I started my hike in the middle at Herring Cove and hiked the Matthews Head Loop. Fundy has the highest tides in the world so you'll get a different experience of the landscape depending on the time of day that you go.
HOW TO GET THERE
Fly into Moncton, New Brunswick and rent a car (there are no public buses that go to Fundy Park). Approx. drive is 1 hr 20 min (86km) from the airport. Google maps will tell you to take the highway to save you 2 minutes but take the more scenic 114 instead, it’s a much prettier drive. The quaint town of Alma is just outside of the park where you can stock up on snacks at the gas station before your hike. After your hike you can grab a meal at one of the restaurants or grab a beer at the Holy Whale Brewery based in an old church.
