2025 Ford Mustang GTD Nürburgring 6:57.685 Minute Record Holder! 815-horsepower Mustang GTD! KING OF THE RING!
The 2025 Ford Mustang GTD Nürburgring record setting stallion is designed to take on the supercars of the world and homologate the Mustang GT3 race car for Le Mans.
The Nürburgring Nordschleife is 12.9 miles long with 73 turns. 6:57.685 minutes is the record Nürburgring time for an American production car. Dodge Viper ACR previously held the record at 7:01.30 minutes.
The 815 hp Predator-based 5.2 Liter V8 engine redline exceeds 7,500 rpm. The dry-sump oil system is a Mustang first. The 8-speed dual clutch rear-transaxle contributes to the nearly 50/50 weight distribution. The titanium exhaust adds an exotic, dynamic style to the exhaust note.
Multimatic DSSV (Dynamic Suspension Spool Valve) advanced rear suspension and adaptive suspension dampers provide a precise response. Track Mode lowers the ride height by 40mm for a 15-20 mph faster top speed. Stopping power is via forged carbon ceramic anti-lock brakes with six-piston Brembo calipers.
Lightweight 20-inch forged magnesium wheels with Michelin R-compound tires measuring 345 in front and 375 in the rear provide the stickiest street-legal tire.
Standard carbon fiber body panels, driveshaft and underbody aerodynamic tray help reduce weight and improve performance. Multi-function front fender vents not only cool the brakes but also reduce lift and drag produced in the fender wheel arches. Aerodynamic rear wing for road-gripping downforce.
Hand-tailored RECARO® seats feature laser-etched Miko™ suede. Rear seat delete replaced by a see-through panel allowing the rear suspension to be viewed. 3D-printed paddle shifters, the rotary dial shifter, and serial plate are made from materials sourced from retired Lockheed Martin™ F-22™ fighter jets. The steering wheel is a thick, well-padded flat-bottom rim with Dinamica and carbon fiber inserts and a leather wrap. It also features buttons on the left spoke pad that adjust the suspension firmness and exhaust mode.
The 2025 Ford Mustang GTD cost is $325,000-plus. Ford plans to build about 2,000 units making the Mustang GTD a limited production model.
