In this episode of Surface Interval - The Dive Monster Talk we introduce you to our cheap light set up for beginners to take some reasonable underwater footage. We used this for many many dives when using for our GoPro Hero7 Black with the telescope extension. In one of our previous episodes, we talked about a Low Budget Underwater Video Set Up. Now it's time to "level up" with a cheap light!

For those who are not into scuba diving, one thing you should know is that as deeper you go the less light there is underwater. Aside from the obvious fact that it gets darker, you also lose colors. That is why it is important to have some dive lights if you plan to take videos underwater. But a cheap light set up for beginners does not only help you with underwater footage, it just raises the overall experience of your dive. You will be able to see the real colors of a fish critter or any other object underwater. Sometimes the colors are not, what one would expect.
