Since the 1960s, the black middle class has grown substantially.With access to information more readily available, African Americans have become more educated and have moved into corporate America. They’ve since gravitated to neighborhoods with better schools and lower crime rates that share their socio economic status. These prestigious neighborhoods are where African-Americans are succeeding in terms of income, homeownership and academic achievement.
