The Australian’s Dennis Shanahan says it is good to see that the federal government is starting to look at industrial relations reforms.
"These will be the beginning of industrial relations reforms," Mr Shanahan told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
"They're shaped by the COVID crisis, by the pandemic".
On Monday Mr Porter unveiled proposed industrial relations reforms which are set to be introduced to Parliament this week.
Mr Shanahan said Prime Minister Scott Morrison and Attorney-General Christian Porter are clearly "trying not to frighten the horses".
"They have finally got around to some industrial relations reform".
