The new Data Events functionality within Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations allows you to surface the virtual entities within Dataverse, and then use Power Automate to trigger events on Add, Modify, and Delete transactions. The Dataverse Connector is also able to update the data within Dynamics 365 through the Virtual Entities.
As a result, we have a new way that we can create automations for setting up common data within the system, without requiring any X++ coding.
In this video I will show an example of this where I automate the configuration of Asset Management functional locations, warehouses and assets for a specific business case.
