A highlight reel of the 8-11-2021 "Knowledge Bolide" Meteorite Hangout. My special guest is Daniel Sheikh, experienced meteorite classifying scientist. He describes in detail the classification process for Errachidia 004, my 1st officially published Winonaite. This From the Lab episode #3 will be released in the complete Hangout replay.
There is a bunch of show and tell of meteorites. Some are historic, brand new finds, new Russian Iron, witnessed falls, Antarctic, Rare Algerian Iron, new (currently being classified) NWA Aubrite, freshly cut and etched Mesosiderite (being classified).... and loads more.
You will notice the overwhelming amount of collaboration we have with the scientific community. Also, note that almost everything that we show has already been examined and classified by scientists (published on the MetBull) or is currently in the process.
