County Governors say they will no longer procure pharmaceuticals and non-pharmaceuticals commodities from the Kenya medical supplies agency in a move that could put them on a collision course with the law. The council of governors in a meeting resolved to procure medical commodities from other sources arguing the government agency lacks supplies to meet their needs. At the same time they are demanding the ministry of health releases the 850million shillings for covid19 emergency response allocated to 17 high risk counties.
