Will Kenneth "Woody" Copelad testify in the Young Thug / YSL racketeering conspiracy trial on Monday, or will he be willing to be jailed for contempt of court? He told Fulton County Superior Court Judge Paige Reese Whitaker today (Tuesday, August 6, day 106) that it will "depend on how I wake up."
Judge Whitaker brought Woody into court because she believes Judge Glanville and prosecutors gave him bad legal info during the June 10 ex parte meeting about his immunity order and how long he can be jailed for contempt. Judge Ural Glanville told Woody he can be jailed not just for the duration of the current trial but for the duration of all the other trials. Whitaker doesn't think that's true, so she told Woody he can be jailed through this trial only. She said it may end in February or March.
