Towards the west of our world,
ten trillion Buddha lands away.
A world exists, the Land of Ultimate Bliss.
A Buddha teaches the Dharma,
His name is Amitabha.
Diligent, a Bodhisattva,
whose name was Dharmakara.
For five kalpas, (He) accrued immense merit
to create the perfect Pureland,
that one day, He will share with us all
who are mindful of His name.
Even ten recitations in unwavering faith,
vow to be reborn in the Pure Land.
He will receive us on our deathbeds.
Gone forth beyond the suffering sea of Samsara
Never to suffer again!
Namo Amituofo ya! Namo Amituofo ya!
In the Pure Land, birds sing praise of His name.
Trees sway as the wind blows, sounding out His name.
Namo Amituofo ya! Immeasurable Light and Life!
Buddhas of ten directions speak in praise of His name.
Offering blessings to those who seek rebirth in Amitabha's Pure Land.
Guided by the Three Sages (Amitabha, Avalokiteshvara, Mahāsthāmaprāpta)
of the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.
One will quickly realise enlightenment,
never fall back again!
Perfect Nirvana gained!
Liberation to the Other Shore,
one will be transformed and reborn,
through the lotus, in the seven-jeweled
lotus pond, of Amitabha.
Namo Amitabhaya! Namo Amitabhaya!
