Dassault Aviation, a French-owned aircraft company, is reportedly ready to develop the latest generation of the Rafale fighter, codenamed F5.
This latest generation will allow to further increase the capacity of the Rafale, with new sensors and weaponry, but also the capacity to communicate, collaborate.
Launching the French magazine Zone Militaire, Deputy Chief of the French Air and Space Force Frederic Parisot said the Rafale F5 variant was not only increased in sensor capacity and weaponry, but also other technologies. Previously, the first series of combat tests of the F4-1 variant was held between 26 and 29 April.
The aircraft will also have a range of advanced features and can match the world's best 4+ and 5th generation aircraft, with Dassault fighters able to face stiff competition from Sweden's Saab Gripen E fighter jets, Eurofighter Typhoon and US F-35 fifth generation aircraft. .
