Units of the Battle Axe Division, part of the Konark Corps of the Indian Army, are undergoing intensive training on cutting-edge equipment and advanced technology in the deserts of Rajasthan.
The exercise showcased seamless integration of man and machine, with the Indian Army's Robotic Dog MULE (Multi-Utility Legged Equipment) taking centre stage to minimise risks to soldiers.
These robotic MULEs, shaped like dogs, are designed for surveillance and transporting light loads across steep and uneven terrain. Their induction marks a significant leap in incorporating AI and robotics into military operations.
The exercise tested the capabilities of these innovative machines in enhancing operational efficiency and soldier safety, while unmanned drones demonstrated precise functionality. The drills are also focused on validating changes in tactics, techniques, and procedures, ensuring the Indian Army becomes more agile, capable, and future-ready.
